Barbara G. Nicely

BARBARA GRACE NICELY age 80 of Memphis died Saturday, February 4, 2012 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Port Huron. Mrs. Nicely was born September 16, 1931 in New Haven, Michigan to the late Karl and Lottie (Betham) Werderman. She married John Nicely in LaFayette, Georgia on September 5, 1970. Mr. Nicely died May 9, 1998. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, reading and her dog. She is survived by her children; Robin (Andrea) Kovich of Algonac, Brenda (the late Gary) Loper of Casco and Elizabeth Smith of Richmond, sisters; Karen (Lowell) Wade of Frederick, MI. and Jane (David) Braga of Atlanta, MI., grandchildren; Dwayne (Melanie) and John (Rosanna) Loper, Nick and Jimmy Smith and Michele and Mary Rose Kovich, great-grandchildren; Douglas, Katherine, Gary and Jacob Loper and Hailee Smith and special friend; Gordon Tanis of Memphis. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings; James and William Werderman and Lucille Hewer. A private funeral service was handled by Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond. Reverend Joseph Horn, pastor of Holy Family Parish in Memphis officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville, TN.
