Barbara E. Kiernicki

BARBARA ELIZABETH KIERNICKI age 77 of Clinton Township died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in Medilodge of Richmond after a brief illness. Mrs. Kiernicki was born January 14, 1935 in Detroit to the late Leo and Anna (Konefki) Karpinski. She married Stanley Kiernicki February 13, 1956 in Resurrection Catholic Church, Detroit. Barbara retired in 1997 from Northeast Catholic Credit Union. She formerly worked at Marianne's Clothing at seven mile and Gratiot. She is survived by her husband, Stanley of Armada, children; Kathleen (Kevin) Jillson of Riley Twp., Kenneth (Barbara) Kiernicki of Armada, Cynthia (John) Santi of Capac and Denise (Jeffrey) Pelath of Clay Twp., grandchildren; Candace Wall, Elizabeth Watkins, Alexandra Santi, Ryan Kiernicki, Ross Kiernicki, Natalia Santi, Shelbie Santi Christopher Jillson, Kyle Pelath and Ryan Pelath and great-grandchildren; Carlie and Wyatt Wall and Landon Manger. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Jozel and a brother, Melvin Karpinski. A memorial service will be on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10:00am in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. Reverend Philip Ching will officiate. Visiting will be on Monday from 9 to 10am in the church. Arrangements were handled by Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond.
