Barbara Ann Jenkins

BARBARA ANN JENKINS age 58 a lifelong resident of Richmond died Thursday, August 21, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born August 7, 1956 in Mount Clemens to Frank and Glennes (Weymouth) Puls. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1974 and earned her teaching degree from Central Michigan University in 1978. Barb was a special education teacher in Romeo since 1979. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Richmond and a member of the Busy Hands craft club and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, reading and walking. She is survived by her sons; Matthew Jenkins of Chesterfield and Benjamin Jenkins of Richmond, her mother, Glennes Puls of Richmond, sisters; Bonnie Puls of Richmond, Mary (Lew Schlanbusch) of Mount Clemens, Marjorie (Rob) Monahan of Richmond and Beth (James) Krzemecki of Romeo, former husband; Todd Jenkins of Monroe, mother and father-in-law; Sharon and Alan Jenkins of Richmond, sisters-in-law; Lisa (Randy) Nichter and Alison (Kevin) Bergeon both of Richmond and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Puls on December 21, 2002. A funeral service will be on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church in Richmond. Reverend Suzy Hutchison, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 24th from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Monday from 10 to 11:00am in the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
