Arthur Raepsaet

ARTHUR C. RAEPSAET age 73 of Richmond, formerly of Warren died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 25, 2008. Mr. Raepsaet was born October 15, 1934 in Detroit to the late Arthur and Germaine (Ramaut) Raepsaet. He married Dorothy Monserez in Harper Woods on May 11, 1957. Art was a veteran of the United States Army and retired in 1990 as a stationary engineer from the Detroit Board of Education. In his earlier career he also worked at Chrysler Corporation, Parke Davis and Wayne State University. He was a loving husband, father and friend who adored his grandchildren and helping people. He was a member of Holy Family Parish in Memphis and enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing, music and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Van Fleteren and their children, Zachary, Samantha, Lyle, Aaron, Autumn and Charlotte all of Armada. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Raepsaet on July 18, 2005 and his brother George Raepsaet. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish in Memphis. Fr. Joseph Gangnon will officiate. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Richmond-Lenox EMS.
