Arthur R. Polus, 74, of Memphis formerly of Frasier died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in Port Huron Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 28, 1936 to the late Stanley and Lillian (Domzalski) Polus. He married Helen Bidock in Detroit in September 26, 1959. Mr. Polus served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Chrysler where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of UAW Local 212 and enjoyed going to the flea market, working around his house, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Helen, sons Arthur Polus Jr. of Sterling Heights and Kevin and Kelly Polus of Ortonville, and two grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:30 am in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Rev. Joseph Plawecki will officiate. Burial will be in Memphis Cemetery, Memphis. Visitation will be Sunday, from 11am to 6pm with a vigil service at 2pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond and Monday from 10 to 10:30am in the church. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
