Anna Holwedel

ANNA HOLWEDEL age 100 died Monday, June 2, 2014 in Martha Tee Berry Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Howedel was born July 10, 1013 in Detroit to the late John and Marie (Kuchaska) Baluk. She married Irvin Holwedel in Detroit on June 17, 1933. Mr. Howedel died October 23, 2005. Mrs. Howedel was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed crocheting and bowling. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Anderson of Chesterfield, granddaughters; Kelley (Daniel) Doktor and Natalie (Steve) Loria, great-grandchildren; John and Joe Doktor and Stephanie, Daniel and Jackie Loria. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dawn Anderson and siblings; Michael Baluk, Katherine Glunt and Stella (Peggy) Maringa. A funeral service will be on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Reverend Jeff Bean, pastor of First Baptist Church in New Baltimore will officiate. Burial will be in Adair Cemetery in Casco Township. Visiting will be on Wednesday, June 4th from 3 to 8pm and Thursday from 10 to 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kidney Foundation or the wishes of the family.
