Allen David Thomas, 87, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Allen was born September 24, 1932 to the late Henry and Genevieve Thomas. Loving husband of Helen Rosemary Thomas; caring father of Michael (Cynthia), David and Patrick (Colleen) Thomas; special grandfather of Christopher, Shannon (Tyler) LaFountain, Robert (Jenny), Jessica (Brad) Bertlan, Jacob, Nicholas, Christina and Timothy Thomas; great grandfather of Easton, Lincoln, Kenyon, Robert Jr. and Raelyn. Also, survived by his siblings Viola Evans, Eva Knapp and Vincent (Dorothy) Thomas. Preceded in death by his siblings Donald and Kenneth Thomas and Margaret Grundner.
Allen proudly served his country in the Korean War as a soldier in the United States Army Infantry Division. He loved working with his hands, could fix anything and enjoyed boating and working on cars.
A private Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Allen's obituary page at Rewaltpeshekfuneralhome.com
