Allen Milton Knopp
August 16, 1933 — December 6, 2020
Allen Milton Knopp, 87, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital West Bloomfield. Allen was born August 16, 1933 to the late Albert and Mabel Knopp. Allen is survived by his nephews, Dale, Charles and John Glen, good friends, Judith Todt, Juli, Tammy, Vicki and Steven. Preceded in death by his sisters, Margery Glen and Lorraine McDaniel, niece, Ruth Wallinger and good friend, John Todt.
Allen received a Masters Degree in Education from Concordia University Chicago. He began teaching in Seward, NE, then taught and was sub organist at Immanuel Lutheran in Des Plains, IL. Allen started teaching at St. Thomas Lutheran School in Eastpointe, MI in 1977 where he was also the full-time organist and the Director of the children's and adult choirs.
Allen enjoyed watching baseball, reading detective books and going out to eat.
