There is less sparkle in our lives, but Ali (August 6, 1975 – October 10, 2021) graced us every day and left the world a better place. Born and raised in Huron County, she graduated from North Huron High School, attended WMU, and graduated from NMU with a BSN. Her career as a nurse began at Marquette General and led her to Sparrow Hospital, Royal Oak Beaumont, Troy Beaumont, and finally to the Premier Surgical Center. Her experiences were diverse as she cared for patients in Cardiac ICU, the ER, and Preop/Recovery. She grew from every experience and always put patient care first. At Oakland County Community College School of Nursing, she shared her talents and love of the profession as she taught a new generation of nurses. There was never a question of what was most important in her life, as her husband and children always came first. Ali and Dan shared a passion for baseball, and they visited and ranked many Major League parks as a family. She was a fierce competitor in athletics, and an enthusiastic fan at every game her children played. She embraced jazz, yoga, meditation, and all outdoor activities and her favorite location was anywhere in the Upper Peninsula. With her diagnosis and treatment for colorectal cancer, she focused her energy on the positive and took great pains to make the most of every single day. To her very last day she demonstrated a warrior heart and extraordinary courage and always took great pains to make sure others were cared for and loved. The family appreciates Season Hospice for making it possible for her to remain at home and to all who prayed for her daily as Ali’s Angels. To honor Ali’s wishes, she will be cremated and not have a funeral service. There will be a celebration of her life on her birthday in August. She leaves behind to carry a legacy of love, her husband Dan, her children Carson and Lauren, her sister Aimee (Jay) Rioux, her sister Nora (Dave) Hall, nieces and nephews Madison and Gannon Rioux, Greta, Lyla, and Julian Hall. She is also survived by her loving parents, Richard and Linda Fawcett and in-laws Rob and Cheryl Gray, brother-in-law Scott (Amy) Gray and sister-in-law Kari (Dan) Easton, great-great Aunt Audrey Ryman, uncles Russ (Georgette) Fawcett and Don Fawcett and cousins Carrie Fawcett, Christine (Christopher) Gambrioli, Mike (Kelley) Fawcett, Mark (Laura) Fawcett, Matt (Nicole) Fawcett, Cheri (Mike) Kiplinger, Sean (Phyllis) Greene and many adoring second cousins.
