Alice C. Downs

Alice Corrine Downs, 82, of New Haven died Friday, May 17, 2013. She was born September 29, 1930 in Roseville to the late Raymond and Bernice Curfman. She married Jack Downs on June 11, 1971 in Mt. Clemens. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1989. Alice retired from T.G. Automotive in 2002 and was a member of the Richmond O.E.S. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, sewing, being outside and working in her flower garden and most of all spending time with her family. Alice accepted Christ as her Savior and publicly confirmed that by being baptized on April 22, 2013. Alice is survived by her children, Linda Patton and her fiancé', Robert Strunk of New Haven and Diana Ray Collins; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two siblings, Ray Curfman of New Haven and Carol Harrington of Marine City. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Ward and a brother, Roy Curfman. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Elder Joanne Dalton of Community of Christ Church, Richmond will officiate. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials may be made to the family.
