Agnes Cecilia Esper

Agnes Cecelia Esper, 86 peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, March 2, 2017 with family at her side. Agnes was born November 27, 1930 to Raymond and Gertrude (DeLater) Miller. She was happily married to William Esper for 61 years until his passing on September 23, 2015. The loving mother of Grace (Paul) Eisen of Cadillac; Alice (John) Battista of Baton Rouge, LA; Dennis Esper of Lenox and Marie (Gary) Bertossi of Richmond. Devoted grandmother of Bryan (Laurel) Eisen, Julie Eisen, Lauri (Andrew) Cowhy, Katie Eisen, John (Lucia) Battista, Christopher Esper, Matthew Esper, Becky (Ralph) Johnson and Beth (Paul) Marcath. Proud great-grandmother of Natalie and Nathan Eisen, Dahlia Battista, RJ and JJ Johnson and Olivia Marcath. Agnes is survived by her sisters Leona Fraley, Aileen Rettell, Rosemary (Les) Bagby and Dorothy Clem, brother-in-law Fred (Barbara) Esper, sister-in-law Henrietta Esper. Preceded in death by her siblings Geraldine Braun and Bernard Miller. Agnes was a farmer's wife and homemaker. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge of cooking, canning, gardening, sewing, cards and her love of traveling with all until her last days. The family is extremely grateful for the care provided by Rhonda, Corrine, Pat and Tamera in her last years as well as the staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be 3:00pm-9:00pm, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Rewalt-Peshek Funeral Home, 68655 Stocker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062 with a Scripture Service at 6:30pm, followed by a time to share memories. Rosary will be at 8:30pm. Instate Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Augustine Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Augustine Scholarship Fund, 67901 Howard St. Richmond, MI 48062.
